My Birth Doula Services

As your doula, I bring compassion, knowledge and experience to help you achieve a confident & positive birth experience.  My aim is to create a calm & positive environment, to allow you to simply focus on your birth. Whilst you are doing what you need to do, I will be in the background making sure you have all you need, supporting your partner and liaising with your midwife.

So you feel totally ready for birth, my antenatal support includes hynpnobirthing techniques, such as breath work, mindfulness & birth hypnosis, as well as how to use massage and aromatherapy to make your labour more comfortable. Whilst I am not able to offer medical advice, I can provide information on birth physiology, interventions & pain relief, so that if decisions need to be made, you have the knowledge to make the right choice for you & your baby.​

My birth doula service includes being present at your birth whether that is at home or in a hospital setting. I am experienced all types of birth, including more complex pregnancies.

 

Not only will I be with you for the birth, I will also stay with you until you feel settled with your baby. In this time, I can provide feeding advice, help you shower or be there for any newborn questions you may have. ​

I totally understand that choosing a doula is a big decision (& investment) however evidence shows that by having a doula present it may:​​

  • Reduced risk of Caesarean birth

  • Reduced risk of instrumental birth

  • Reduced need for pain relief during birth

  • Reduced rate of induction of labour

  • Shorter labour

  • Increased likelihood of initiating breastfeeding

So how does it work? As your doula I can provide antenatal support, be present at your birth and also once your baby has arrived. To understand what support you may need and if I am a good fit for you, we will arrange a free informal chat either over zoom or in person. Then if you wish to progress, you can create your own package or choose from one of my packages listed below.​​

BIRTH PREPARATION 

A 3-hour private session delivered either at your home or online. This is a bespoke birth preparation package, so you can decide what you would like to be covered. This may include birth plans, breathing techniques, massage for labour, aromatherapy, breastfeeding support or newborn care. This can also be offered as a birth refresher.

Book an hour long call, where you can ask me any questions you have about your birth

 or life with your newborn, which may include feeding, sleep or general care.

THE ULTIMATE BIRTH PACKAGE 

Included in this package is being present at your birth, whether this is at home or in hospital, alongside 8 hours of antenatal education (4 x 2 hour sessions) & 6 hours of postnatal support. I will be on call from 38 weeks until your baby arrives & available for any questions throughout your pregnancy & until your baby is 12 weeks old.  

Price also includes use of a birth pool (subject to availability & you will need to purchase a liner)

INVESTMENT £1900

 

THE ENHANCED BIRTH PACKAGE 

Included in this package, is being present at your birth, whether this is at home or in hospital. 4 hours of antenatal education (2 x 2 hour sessions) & 2 hour postnatal visit.

I will be on call from around 38 weeks until your baby arrives & available for any questions throughout your pregnancy & until your baby is 6 weeks old.

Price also includes use of a birth pool (subject to availability & you will need to purchase a liner)

INVESTMENT £1600​

 

THE BIRTH PACKAGE 

(ideal for 2nd time parents or if you are looking for a last minute doula)

Included in this package, is being present at your birth, whether this is at home or in hospital, alongside a 1 hour birth planning session of antenatal education & 1 hour postnatal visit.

I will be on call from around 38 weeks until your baby arrives & available for any questions throughout your pregnancy from point of booking.

Price also includes use of a birth pool (subject to availability & you will need to purchase a liner)

INVESTMENT £1300​

AD HOC POSTNATAL SUPPORT

Schedule in a session with me, where I can support you with your new baby. This could include practical baby care, feeding support, looking after your baby whilst you rest or looking after older children.

INVESTMENT £35 per hour

(a minimum of 2 hours must be booked)
