Do you teach hypnobirthing?
My Pregnancy Flow class is a wonderful way to learn & practice hypnobirthing techniques such as breathwork, visualisations & affirmations. Everything you learn will help you feel more confident & positive about birth and can be used to support you in labour.
When should I start antenatal classes?
You can start whenever you feel ready. The ideal time is around 28 weeks but you can join earlier or later depending on the dates of the course.
Do your antenatal classes cover breastfeeding?
Yes, we spend a whole session on this topic so that you have lots of information before your baby arrives. We cover how milk is produced, positioning and latching your baby, issues that can get in the way of breastfeeding, expressing and paced feeding.
I am being induced or may require a caesarean section, do you include this?
Yes, I believe it is important to cover all elements of birth so that you feel confident & prepared if you journey takes a different path. We cover lots of tools and techniques to support you, regardless of how you birth your baby.
When should I book a birth doula?
Ideally the earlier the better to ensure I am available. I try wherever possible to only support one client at a time, so my availability is often quite limited. You can book me with a £300 deposit and you have my support from that point onwards for any advice or questions you may need. However regardless of when you are due, please do get in touch to check my availability, as I would love to help.
When should I start baby massage classes?
Classes are suitable from newborn to around 6 months, which means you can join whenever you feel ready. For younger babies you will learn lots of tools and techniques to help with digestion, sleep, colic and reflux, however they may be times when they are a little sleepy and may need a cuddle. For older babies, you will enjoy activities to support their balance and coordination, as well as a gentle introduce to sensory play.
What oil should I use for baby massage?
I choose not to provide oils for my baby massage classes, as it is important that you patch test any oil you are choosing to use on your baby. I recommend Cold Pressed Grapeseed Oil or Coconut Oil but you can use any creams and oils you know your baby is comfortable with. Equally if you prefer, you can massage through their clothes.
I've started with some solids, but my baby doesn't seem to be enjoying it, would your Starting Solids Workshop be helpful?
Whilst the workshops are designed to be attended before your baby starts solids, lots of parents attend who have already given their baby some food. The workshops are designed to help you explore your choices, recognise the signs of readiness and create good eating habits.
